So... 90% of my forums have disappeared from the ACP. It's not that they aren't on the forum, because they are - I just can't see them within the ACP, which makes it extremely difficult to edit them. How do I fix this? Also, saw that the Support Tickets don't come in from converted boards - since most of my issues are issues that probably can't be fixed by me (ie. forum ordering problems and missing forums in the ACP), how exactly am I supposed to get this fixed? Is there someone I can email? I've had to close the forum because everything is really messed up right now with it. It was just converted from IF, if that helps. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, ~Shadow |

In the ACP when you go to "Section Manager" do you see the forums you want to amend but they appear greyed out and seemingly unclickable? If that is the case click Category link which will then enable you to make changes to the sub forums |

No, unfortunately. They're just not there. I dumped all of my forums into one category to see if I couldn't fix the reordering issue that I was having, and as soon as I did that half of them disappeared - they're physically not showing up. If I were to go to the index of my forum, you'd see most of them dumped into one category labelled Holding Section and that's because I can't move any of them - they're completely invisible in the ACP. |

What happens when you click on "Holding Section" in the ACP in the Section Manager? |

Um... Is there anything to click? It says that 5 forums (some with subforums) are listed in it, but there should actually be 14 other major forum groups, but they aren't showing up in the ACP. If I were to reorder the forums, they show up, but that doesn't do me much good. The only things I can click for the Holding Section in the ACP are Edit and Delete Category. And inside of that category I can only edit the 5 aforementioned forums. If that makes sense... I could take screenshots if that would help. |

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d153/taeldra/forumindex.jpg That one is the forum index. So, if you were to view my forum right now, that's what you'd see (minus the admin stuff, of course). http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d153/taeldra/holdingsection.jpg That's what you see if you were to go into the ACP. The 5 forums there aren't viewable to the public (hence why they don't show up on the index), but the ones that you do see on the index don't show up in the ACP. At all. |

I have the same problem. I can only see some of my forums in Section Manager but not all. I can still edit them though. I edit one I can see, and then change the last four digits at the end of the forum I want to edit (but can't see in the list). It's a pain though. |

Where do you change the digits? I tried changing the digits on all of my forums and it didn't appear to help... Also, for the record, Board Offline function doesn't work. >>; EDIT! I went in and tried to move all of my forums around and it brought them all back, save one. However, the forum ordering issue I had before has still not been fixed. Because I still have forums hopping around. Edited by MidnightShadow, Oct 17 2008, 05:23 PM.

It should definitely work - there have been no other cases where it hasn't worked. If you want, turn your board offline now, and I'll see if I can access it. If it is offline now, double check via the Groups section in your Admin CP that the "Guest" usergroup has the Use offline board option set to "No". As for your forums problem, does this occur on http://s8.zetaboards.com/Elenlond/index/ ? Jonathan |

Ah yeah sorry, it does work. When I tried it yesterday it didn't appear to be, but I dunno - I might have thought I selected the option but didn't. It works, though. =) Sorry lol. Yes, it's on Elenlond. The forums now appear in the ACP, though I imagine they'll disappear again as soon as I try to fiddle with them... Although I'm still having ordering problems, where I have them jumping into categories they shouldn't belong to and aren't set to be in (ie. Morrim should be in Soare, not in the Scattered Isles). And I don't know how to fix that, nor how to fix the one vanished forum I have that isn't showing up in the ACP. |

If you'd like, I've registered an account on your board (Jonathan). Bump me into the admin usergroup and I'll see if there's anything I can do to help prevent this from happening again. There are issues where forums do disappear like this sometimes (Which we're working on fixing at our end), but you should be able to edit your forums without any trouble (It mainly occurs when deleting forums which contain subforums). Normally, you shouldn't allow anyone access to the Admin CP unless they are official Zathyus staff members like me - I just want to make that clear, as under normal circumstances, we would never ask for Admin CP access outwith the support ticket system (But obviously that's still being worked on at the moment) |

Done. I would be eternally grateful if it could be fixed. There are a couple that have outright disappeared (called The Temple of Nature and The Kaadian Way), and others which are... jumping around. And it's only the two groups that are IC (those in Soare and the Scattered Isles) that I'm having difficulty with. The others cooperate well enough. |

Jonathan, I have the same issue on my board. I can access all my forums one way or another but they don't all show up on Section Manager. Half don't actually. In terms of viewing there is a sub-forum you can see titled "Authors Forums: L - Z" on the main board http://s13.zetaboards.com/vanhansis/index/ But when you click on the "Luke Fan Fiction" forum link, you do not see that as a subforum if you're a Member or Guest. Permissions all look fine. http://s13.zetaboards.com/vanhansis/forum/5189/ Should I just wait and this is a known bug that will be fixed? I've exhausted all the options in terms of logical solutions and just waiting for a support ticket answer the past couple of days. |

Um... I think it worked for me. I just clicked the link and I could see all of the topics and I could see the forum itself. |
