Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall.

To all of you registered to vote, I encourage you to find the time tomorrow to get to the polls and vote. There are many states with important items on the ballot then just the president. Please exercise your right to vote tomorrow. I don't care who you vote for. Just vote for who you think is right.

Opps. This topic has been unlocked!

Tell us, have you voted! To keep this as lighthearted as it can be, lets not go down the road of which candidate is better etc!

Voted (only in heart) for McCain. But I understand, why peoples would vote for Obama and if I would live in USA my vote wouldn't be to easy.

Got up early and headed to the polls at 8am.

Huzzah for being in District 3. I got there and the line was out the door. A woman came out and asked if anyone was in District 3. So as I got closer, I looked for my street. Yes! So when she came out again, I told her, and followed a small group of people to the front of the line. Got my ballot, blackened all the Democrat circles and voted No on the Constitutional Convention. Fed it to the machine and left.

Whoever does win is of course, going to be the President of the world's biggest super-power. With all the hypothetical horror stories Stephen has been feeding me (along with sources, mind you :P ), it seems pretty important. It kinda sucks in a way that anyone who isn't American can't do anything about it, because the outcome will affect other countries, whether it be in a small way or a big way. So, voting is essential. Hopefully the best person for the job will win.

I definitely know who I'd vote for, I have to say everyone I know in real life all want the same candidate to win, too :P
I personally wasn't old enough to vote for our last 'proper' elections here in the UK, just our local council ones the other year... and I randomly jabbed my finger on the touch screen because I had no idea who the candidates were, what their policies were, or why I should be picking them. That was my fault.
I will definitely make sure that when that time does come, I'm going to make a well informed decision and vote then. Something tells me thats going to be a pretty tough election, but definitely not as crazy as this election has been. Of course, being British, I've only really seen what the media shows on TV and in papers etc... or what Stephen/Locke have been saying to me over MSN. Heh.
So yeah, if you're eligible to vote, go vote. Apparently even if the polls close and you're still in a queue, you can still get your vote in. Otherwise if you want to complain about anything that the government has control over within the next 4 years, you shouldn't. Voting gives you your voice. Although if who you voted for doesn't win, you should still feel proud that you tried, and you have the right to vote for who leads your country. Some countries don't have that. Don't take it for granted.

I honestly really don't like politics (gets nasteh), but they are important.

In CT at least, even if you aren't registered to vote, if you live in the state, are 18 or older and have ID, you can vote for president. Just head down to your town clerk's office (which is likely open late tonight) with that id.

I didn't vote in the mock election at my school, primarily because I had one minute to run to class before being marked tardy.

As far as the actual election, I believe my school gave excused absences to those who chose to miss school in order to vote. A know a lot of seniors went to the polls today, some even sent in absentee ballots earlier. It is supposed to be a record setting number of individuals who are voting in this election, so I'm looking forward to what happens after everything is said and done.

I voted for McCain, then straight republican for most of the people, except I voted for the Democratic Sheriff, because he does a good job. I voted no on both Prop 1 and Prop 2 for those in Michigan.
