Congratulations Obama and Biden, I'm interested in seeing over the next four years if the two can deliver on the promises they made, or if they've just been blowing hot air....
McCain could've just as easily been 'blowing hot air'. Voting for someone doesn't make them infallible. Although I honestly don't think candidates would ever promise something they couldn't deliver on in some way. That'd be idiotic of them. Ideally they want to be there for two terms, not one.

If anyone didn't know you didn't live in the US, they do now lol. American politics are pretty backwards. For instance, we voted Bush in. Twice (the second time I personally blame on the Dem's poor choice of Kerry combined with the general insecurity of the early post-9/11 years that include 2004). And oh, the slander that is in every campaign from mayoral to presidential is mind-blending.

Things I'm looking forward to with an Obama/Biden White House: fixing of the education system, bettering of the health care and insurance systems, and ending the Iraq War.

What they'll have left to do by day 3: ... I'm not sure.

Congratulations. I think, he will be better one to think, ho to solve crisis in USA than McCain. I wish, he will not forget plans about anti-missile shield and Europe. That's why I always was on the McCain side - I'm sure, he would not forget. I wish, Obama will not forget as well..

Quantum-locked when observed.

So I guess this means there's no hope. High School Musical 4 is inevitable. :(

Ben goes off to make protest signs.

High School Music 4 - Held Back

"They all failed and had to repeat senior year, but they are still having the time of their lives, except for the one who got pregnant and the other one who got addicted to pot."

The horror...

Here's to Obama, first not-white-old-guy-who-is-generally-disconnected-with-the-population-at-large president.

Not much to say but I was rather pleased with the outcome that Obama won and by a considerable margin unlike the last two elections. :D

I never had high expectation for McCain to carry out his promises either had he been elected, some of his tax plans, like Obama's would have increased the national debt, I'm not so much concerned whether or not he'll try to carry his promises out, I'm concerned about the impact his policies will have. I have 4 years to observe the initial impacts but I'm pessimistic

I'm sure the scary guy at the end of this video won't be letting McCain forget his promise in a hurry.

I'm happy with the outcome. Means I don't have to let American refugees live in my shed for the next 4 years.

Haha, true. I did tell Stephen I cleared an area big enough for a sleeping bag in the corner of my room :r

As much as I may dislilke him and his views (and I really do...), America has spoken and chosen him to lead us, which means he is now our president and deserves at least that much respect. Besides, I could sit here are complain and argue and whine, but it's much easier to just sit back and let him show you all himself, to which I can say "knew it" ;)

great news to have Obama in -- this should improve the USA's battered global standing & hopefully we'll have a safer world for the next 4 + years
