Here are a few pictures I'd like to show from the shoot I had earlier today. Hopefully you don't mind them. :)

The second one is great :D
The last one seems a bit odd because she's looking away from the rest of the photo. It would be my fav if her head wasn't so turned like that.

Iiiiiiinteresting that this bothers you. But it's alright. Much easier to spread light around the face when they're facing toward the light source. And her head facing other ways looked too boring to me.

But thank you

All three are nice, but I think second one is the best. BTW, should the topic title be "Shots in West Chicago" Then current title? (IMO it should.)

Hahaha are you critiquing the topic title? That is the best thing ever.

I like what you did here...the photos are seemingly sketchy but also smooth. It's a nice sort a blur effect. I like this. However, it does have that edgy look I was talking about which I think is bad for these photos.

Blurry effect? Ha yeah that's what I wanted. It's called f/1.8, lol. And what kind of look would you rather see out of these? Because I really would like to know what's honestly wrong with what I'm doing. But I haven't gotten a good answer yet. :(

I think what Trei is talking about is noise? These do seem to have some noise, but I don't think it is that bad. Did you use a high ISO? Maybe try a lower one next time? But yeah, I don't think the noise is all that bad.

I like them overall, I think the model could have done a better job with her lipstick, but that is not really your fault :P
The framing and depth are all looking good to me though.

Loving the second.. and I'm going to have to agree with Bry about the third. And quite honestly, I don't have an answer do what you are doing wrong because I don't know what's wrong and what's right in photography, I just like what I see. :P

nice! :D they look like catalogue pictures <3

the second and third are awesome, i dunno about the first... the background seems to be too in the way, it's hard to focus soully on the girl (especially since her hair matches the brush).

but still, pro-level stuff here man.

Thanks everyone. And there's no noise, haha. It was all shot at very low ISO's. If you guys think that's noisy you haven't seen the worst of it at all!
