We can't see the example to which you linked us, since guests must log in before being able to see the board. ![]() If you want a user's group to reflect his or her post-count determined rank, you'll need to create a new group for each rank on your board. To create a new user group, go to Admin CP -> Users & Groups -> Manage User Groups. At the bottom under Add a new member group, select Members from the "Base new group on..." dropdown menu, then Set up New Group. Enter the name of the new group (e.g., "chump change") under the "Group Title". You can also tweak the group's privileges using the settings below. For "window shopper," just rename the "Members" group--you can't change the default group for new users, so all users with 0 posts will be in that group already. Once you've created the groups, you can use Group Promotion to automatically promote a member to the next user group when he or she reaches the required number of posts. To do this, go back to the Manage User Groups page and edit the "window shopper" group. At the bottom of the page under the Group Promotion section, select chump change as the group to which members are promoted. Then enter 2500 as the required number of posts. Repeat this for the "chump change" group with the appropriate next rank and post requirement. |
