Hi there, I have had some feedback from members of my forum who use IE. When they do a re-fresh or click on the main forum button, they get logged out and have to log back in again. I use Google Chrome and don't have this issue. Anybody able to offer me any advice how I can sort this issue?? Thank you |

Internet Explorer doesn't like it when IFrames are involved. Since you're currently using your domain as an IFrame, you'll need to add the following code to the JavaScript box in the Board Wrappers section of your Admin CP:

Ok, I have done that but now it doesn't log out but if you go to click on a thread it doesn't load the thread but takes you back to the main forum index?? |

I have had to remove the coding you suggested as whilst it cured the re-fresh issue, you were not then able to view any of the threads. It would allow you to click on the individual forums but not the threads within each of the forums??

Out of curiosity, can I ask why you use the iframe? Do you own, or have control of, the domain name? It might be better suited if you set the board up to use it without the iframe. You can follow this documentation if the idea appeals to you.

That is a very good question Tony! I actually don't really know what an iframe is. My son is the techy one and actually set it all up for me. Yes I do own the domain name. I shall get him to look at the link you have posted and see if we can sort this issue out. Thank you for your help

We are kind of struggling with this cname thingy. Members using IE have an intermittent problem of being logged out when they do a re-fresh or use certain buttons on the forum. It doesn't happen every time though, that is the strange thing. Would I have the same issues if I upgrade to a Zetaboard? I would be grateful if someone could talk me through changing the cname and would this definitely solve the problem? Thank you for your help. |

Is this whilst you have your iframe active? Who is your domain registrar (provider)? |
