Hi, I'm a mod for http://s1.zetaboards.com/The_Dark_Order/index/ and our new members can't post because of this error message:

You do not have permission to reply to a topic in this forum.
Error Code: 12004:57683

Our admin is away, can mods validate new members? Or is that for admin only? And if we can, how do you do it?

Thanks for the help.

It would depend on if you have full access to the ACP - It's not actually a case in this instance of validating an individual user as such it means that the admin has set up the permission for the forum that these members are trying to post in and has chosen to deny the reply permission for the group that these members are in.

Also it will depend on how you have registrations set up - If there set up so that they have to have admin approval, only the admin will be able to agree their membership - It they are able to log but their membership had not been approved they would get a message telling them that their registration was awaiting approval

If you have access to the member's section of the acp then you can approve and edit account son your own. Otherwise, you will need an actual admin to do it as a mod can't approve accounts unless that mod had been set to be able to use the member's section of the acp.
