Hi, for my board I made it so that all groups besides mods and admins cannot edit their own topic titles and descriptions. I went on a test account and I was able to edit the title. In the ACP it clearly says that members should not be able to edit them. What can I do? I want them not to be able to edit titles. Edited by Gorgor, Apr 3 2009, 04:07 PM.

To which group Your test account belong? Did Members of Your board says that they unable to edit topic title/sescription or You figured it alone? Try go to ACP --> Groups --> *choose any group and click it* --> Change own topic title and/or description and set that to Yes. |

I said I want them to not be able to edit their own titles. My test account is in the normal member group and I am able to edit it. |

I did select 'no', and they are still able to edit the titles. |

Check that the members who are still able to change their titles are not assigned to an "alternative" as well as the one they are currently in ACP > USERS AND GROUPS > MEMBER SEARCH - search for one of the members who you find still able to change topic title - click on edit and then see if they are assigned to an alternative group - If they are change that so that the alternative group is the same as the group you want them to be in without that permission |
