People Having Problems Registering On My Forum

I've been contacted several times lately by people having trouble registering on my forum.

I've tried registering a test account but it isn't working for me either.

Registration isn't disabled in my admin controls so I have no idea what the problem is.

"Sorry, you are not permitted to use this board "

It's probably this:

Go directly to your Admin CP. To do this, take your board's original URL and replace "index" with "admin". Log in and go to Admin CP -> Users and Groups -> Ban Setting, and check to see if there are any blank areas.

For instance, if your IP address section is like this,
Quote:

IP Address A

IP Address B

then that space in between counts as a wildcard for any IP address, and ban your members.

zaino, try the following:

Navigate to your AdminCP - Users and Groups - Manage User Groups and select Edit Group next to the validating group.

Under Global Permissions, look for Can view board? and make sure this is set this to Yes.

If you do this, make sure the group "Banned" isn't allowed anything. This way you can still ban people by moving their account in the "Banned" group.
