Sorry if my username will make everyone laugh but I made this account about three years ago or longer I havn't used this forum in ages. And I was on a Case Close phase in my life.

http://z8.invisionfree.com/Naruto_Kazari I am not sure if it is just this site or the invision server itself but thanks to the ad feature the invision staff made regular invision sites have ads on every page you know how people are able to make viruses threw Ads now these days right? I have been experiences MANY VIRUS ADS on the board and in the past 3 months and today constantly on this site or just this server. I helped make this site over three years ago with a friend of mine(I am no longer a admin or mod their) and we havn't had Virus problems until the Ads feature came into being in Invision boards I'm not sure if it effects Zeta Board I'm not sure.

I have gotten the regular ads that contain viruses on this server that a virus will pick up a virus scanner immediatly and I have to clean my comp alot due to this with my particular virus scanner to clean malware an spyware this effects Internet Explorer 7 and FireFox

I have gotten more viruses when I have upgraded to Google Chrome but thanks to many of them thanks to the fire wall it blocks the ad and virus so you can "go back to safety" I even had an ad that just redirected me to another website to try and infect me but is blocked by Google Chrome. HOWEVER I had just encountered a virus that like what happend on the G4 Site earlier this year was an ad that tries and forces you to scan your computer with a fake virus scanner I'm sure we all have experienced that annoying AD once in our life I just push the power button on my laptop to fix that problem, anywho I just experienced that type of ad and it cannot be blocked by Google Chrome despite its amazing powers by a firewall I hope these Ads gets removed on all Invision and Zeta boards its annoying we have to go threw VIRUS ADS that pop up at freakin will

"PLES RING IF AN RNSER IS REQIRD."

This question appears to be about InvisionFree, not ZetaBoards. It's now been moved to the appropriate InvisionFree support section. Thank you.

Myself and others have posted about this problem for quite awhile now. Is anything going to be done about it? I've posted screenshots and gave links.

Enough is enough. I know it's a free service, but each new day, we get another member affected and they're staying away until this mess gets dealt with.

An older thread made here, with little to no help.

Is anything being done about this? Seriously, my members do not need viruses getting loaded on them everytime an ad pops up, and to be honest this is NOT encouraging me to use any paid-for alternative.

What makes you believe they're coming from the ads?

What makes you believe they're coming from the ads?
I don't allow ad servers to have javascript access and I don't get them. Either do the other people who use AdBlock and NoScript on Firefox. Our members who use IE however, are very affected by this. http://if.invisionfree.com/single/?p=8151358&t=5052141 http://if.invisionfree.com/single/?p=8151744&t=5052141 http://if.invisionfree.com/single/?p=8151624&t=5052141

Each time this is brought up, the same questions are asked of us. Then, some investigating is done and we never hear anything again. So another thread is made, and we repeat this whole process once again. The ads are on a rotation. When certain ones come up, they get virus flag popups.

I mostly want to know if I'm just wasting my time here. If something is going to be done, I'll pipe down and let you all handle it. But I'd really like some feedback and know that this matter is being looked into. If enough time goes by without anything being done, conspiracies will rear their ugly heads and people will think it's a ploy to get the free users to switch to the paid version, all in the name of safety. People are scared to come to the forums already. That means no ad revenue for Invision, and a smaller member base for us.

I've posted about this as well. I have still been unable to find which ad it is. The one I've experienced uses JavaScript to launch a virus through a PDF File after forcing open Adobe Acrobat. Luckily, if you have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, it can be easily found and removed.

The problem is that IFor ZB has no control over which ads are displayed (unless they can prove an abnormality), so without any pointer as to which ad may have caused the issue it is nigh on impossible to track down.

In a previous post in this thread, I posted links to other posts of mine in this forum. One of them, showed the link from a nefarious ad and a screenshot of the popup that ensued. http://if.invisionfree.com/single/?p=8151624&t=5052141

P.S. You sure get around, LL. lol

Oh hai PK :P

I personally find it more worrying that the supplier of the ad service (Google afaik), doesn't seem willing to take it on board to take any meaningful action (providing that they have been informed of the problems).

And also why, if such a problem has been highlighted many times, Zathyus Networks continues to affiliate with their advertising services.

It doesn't inspire confidence I'm afraid.
