To join the channel, download an IRC client such as Chatzilla, Pidgin, or Irssi

When you install it, type this in to connect to FreeNode:

Code:
 

/connect irc.freenode.net


Then, select a nickname by doing this command:

Code:
 

/nick nickname_of_your_choosing_goes_here


Then register it with NickServ:

Code:
 

/msg NickServ REGISTER password_goes_here email_address_goes_here


Follow the instructions in the E-Mail, and you've registered. Everytime you join FreeNode, you'll have to identify your nickname, so that you can talk in #ifsz. To do this, type the following when you join FreeNode:

Code:
 

/nick nick_name_goes_here


and then type this:

Code:
 

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password_goes_here


Then you can join the Zetaboards Theme Zone channel on #zbtz by typing this in:

Code:
 

/join #zbtz

 I'm pretty it is only used when hosting competitions that have to held live like trivia or million dollar password. :)

At this point, yes. :sigh: It used to be rather active, but over the years it has become inactive and switched over to just competitions. Unless some people feel like bringing it back...without an official topic though. :/

Also, Grant, the "official" channel is actually ifsz. However, it's so inactive, that I think ZBTZ might be more worthwhile.

Yeah, people used to post a lot in the IRC thread telling people to get on. :P
