So i'm thinking about dyeing my hair blonde, it is currently brown. Is their any site that can show me how I will look with a differen't hair color? If I dye my hair blonde, and i don't like it, can i die it back to brown and it'll look normal? |

I'm not expert on this - I've never messed with it, only seen people do it. I'm fairly certain that it won't look normal once you color it. Plus, once you color it, then you have to constantly do it as that hair color does something that makes your hair require it every so often or something. Don't take my word for it fully though. I've only seen my parents color their gray hair into the natural tone. I have a friend who changed her hair color multiple times, though I believe her roots at still natural color. Not entirely sure. |

i doubt you'll find a site that'll show you (since there's so many different shades of hair colours and dyes that could be used) but i'm fairly certain that you can't easily go from a dark colour to a light colour. you'd either need a lot of dye, or more likely to bleach it first, then dye it. if you're really interested in it, go talk to a hairdresser. they should know exactly what you'd need to do. |

This. All I can tell you is that it depends on the brand of dye, the shade of your hair, and the color of the dye. If you bought it online, it should show you a preview of what the color will look like. ------------- If you don't know already, since you're dying it a lighter color, it'll work much better if you bleach your hair first. DO NOT use the bleach you use to wash your clothes, it'll kill you. Try to find hair bleach, some dyes come with it, if not, take Aetheria's advice, and go to a hairdresser, I'd suggest that anyways since it's your first time doing it. |

you could always try a photoshop technique. Don't know what you'd look like with the colour you want, take your picture and find out. |

You could probably take a picture of yourself and have one of the graphic designers create a preview for you. |

Depending on how dark your brown is, I'd say your best bet is to start with a dark blonde and then work from there. If it's not as light as what you were wanting, you could always brighten it up with some highlights or something. I don't recommend dying your hair too much in a short time. (Give yourself a good week at least, hair's pretty sensitive stuff.) As for wanting to know how you'd look..Photoshop's good for stuff like that.

If you dye all your hair blonde prepare yourself to dye your roots every few weeks too. |

Not forgetting that if you don't like it, and you dye it black or brown.. once it starts to fade it will turn a ginger type colour.

Don't use an In-Home Dye or Do-It-Yourself Dye. Have a professional do it. Why? MY cousin is a pro and the cheap stuff doesnt work, a customer asked her to use it. Its not usually high quality, natural looking, at wasnt even the right color. Some people think if you use this stuff, chlorine and chemicals could turn it green...lol Maybe just highlights/lowlights or something? |

I've thought about getting highlights, but my hairdresser said she'd kill me if I colored my hair... apparently she likes the color... Of course, I'm too lazy to actually do that. I rather go out in the sun and let it make my blonde hair blonder. |
