I think this question is a hopeless topic lol to those fed up. I dont think for the sake of Vikings its a good move Rosenfels and Travaris are veteran prime players well not Travaris but you know what im saying lol ^o) . Farve is playing for self he isnt playing for a team when you continously contemplate retirement and you bounce around from team to team to me it wouldnt set well for me as a player. He is a hall a famer im not saying he is a scrub but i think Farve needs to take a pay cut instead of trying to collect this 8 milion i hear he is seeking. I look at the Jets situation last year he counted for 14 + plus million and they had already gotten Jenkins, Pace, LG formerly of the Steelers and for the organization to maximize an injuried farve they could've averted those what 6 games to Clemons who is a Billy Volek / Philip Rivers kinda QB you ask me showed potential in 07.

But my question is what is your opinion of Farve if by the 30th he signs with the Vikings

I'm a big Vikings fan, so seeing the Packers' main man for so long put on a purple jersey is going to be awesome. I don't care if he's just doing it to prove he can do it or not. If he gives the Vikes a couple of good games (hopefully he crushes the Packers on Week 4) I'll be happy. I wouldn't mind seeing him play a few games, then something happen and one of the other guys gets a shot at it. Either way, I just want to see the Vikings go far this year.

I don't understand why he's so intent on ruining his legacy. He's beyond simply making the mistake of retiring and wanting to play again. I understood that retired players wanted to come back and a lot of Packer fans gritted their teeth when the administration went with Rodgers rather than taking Favre. Playing for another team is one thing but playing for a division rival is really a kick in the nuts.

I really don't care anymore, though. I just hope he doesn't make a bigger ass of himself than he already did last year. I hope our cornerbacks are good again this year, though.

I'm a Packers fan, if you couldn't tell, btw.

Yeah, I think it was time to call it quits a few years ago. But whatever, he'll go to the Vikings and help them out probably because Travaris sucks.

From my perspective as a Wisconsinite and a Packers fan, it's pretty easy to tell that Favre's reputation has sunk pretty low. I'm sure people will always have a "special place for them in their hearts" but if he had just retired gracefully, people would have revered him as the idol he was. If he plays for the Vikings, that will just sully his reputation even further. It would be a lie to say he doesn't care about his fans but he sure doesn't seem to be paying them much thought (of course, his love for the sport probably trumps his love for the fans).
