I am reorganising a bunch of topics on my board, and there are a few old re-direction links (aka links to topics that have beenmoved to a different part of the board.) I've looked around on the mod features, and on here, but I don't know how to delete them. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Check the box on the left of the topic link (the one that says Moved; where the topic originally was) and scroll down to the bottom of the topic list and you'll see your drop down moderation box on the right. Select delete topic and submit.

That will delete the Moved topic left behind and that topic will still be visible and active in it's new location.

Thanks! That's what I had thought, but on IF there was a special way to do it, and I didn't want to be left without the topic. ^_^

I moved a topic, but I forgot to select 'NO' when it prompted me to 'Leave a link to the new topic in the source forum?' First I tried to fix it by moving the topic back, but I only ended up with two of the same topic titles in the forum, one on top of the other. So, then I tried clicking on the one that said "Moved:...", which took me to the one I'd re-moved. From that page, I tried to delete it. The thread and content deleted, yes, but the"Moved:...." link is still there, the topic title and a line of text underneath, both of which are offending, and need to go.

I need help with this one. If I try clicking on it as a link, I don't get options, I get this:

Quote:

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken.

So, if anyone can help, would sure be appreciated. (I tired resynchronizing from admin cp and merging topics, neither of those worked).

I wish it was that simple... I would have already done it. I see no option to just delete it.

OK, I have succeeded in getting rid of that link. I had to click the Mod CP, then I could select the topic title and delete it. Mod CP has a selection of features not found in admin cp and I didn't know it... but I do now.

So, all fixed now. phew!
