Which one should I get next? I have Windows and my current PC is littered with viruses, popups and other annoying crap that should never see the light of day. I heard Macs received almost no viruses. Very comforting fact. Plus the new Tiger is supposed to be faster than the PC, and is packed with some useful features like dashboard and that search the whole computer thing ... sounds neat.

Sure, PCs have a bigger game base, but don't take that into account because I rarely ever play computer games.

Ty for the suggestions.

Had Macs at school, everyone hated them, they were slow and everyone else had PCs...nothing was compatable. One kid finally got pissed off at his computer and pushed it off the table.

Which software may I ask? I used to think Macs were much slower as well. Now I'm hearing the opposite, so I'm confuzzled.

While that was extremly amusing I must have to disagree with everything.

Our media school got one where we edit films etc and it works perfectly fine. In fact it works better than Windows. Then ya got my cousin in Derby who has a Mac, it works awesome aswell, no viruses, programs run smoothly and a cool GUI.

After this piece of **** I call my PC finally blows, im getting a Mac.

Just get a PC man. Really you should have to worry about virus's and all that. I've used PCs for years and I've never ONCE gotten a virus. NOT ONCE. You just have to watch what you do.

Get a PC, but if you want to be virus spyware free etc, put Ubuntu Linux on it. I think you'd be comfortable using that. You won't get anything better than Linux for stability and reliability, and most of the time speed.

To some of you in here who are comparing the Mac to the PC with facts of viruses, note we are speaking of hardware, the operating system is what is vunerable or immune to malware, not the hardware. Please don't suggest options to someone in need if you yourself don't know what you are talking about. I'm not speaking to any specific person, just a general statement.

But he didn't ask Windows or Mac OS, he asked PC or Mac, that's hardware, software doesn't matter when you compare hardware in this manner.
