Can't register due to Spambot Prevention; Data is in an "invalid format"

I'm trying to register an account on this board: http://www.grungemedia.com/forum/index.php

I can fill out all of the items on the form info OK, but when I hit "Submit my registration," the registration form re-loads with the following error:

Quote:

The data you entered in this field is in an invalid format

This message appears below the words "Spambot Prevention" and above the words "Enter the name of this site: GrungeMedia". Also, a red X appears next to the input field.

I've tried entering the name of the site exactly as it appears: "GrungeMedia" (no quotes) numerous times over the past couple months (I really need to register an account there :P ). I've even tried leaving the field blank, as well as entering the word in all caps and trying again in all lower-case. Unfortunately I always get the same error. I've tried using both Firefox 3.5 and Internet Explorer 8, with all add-ons disabled and cookies turned on. I still get the same error I did a few months ago. I've also tried contacting the admin a couple times by email, with no response.

Is there any way I can register? Is something on the board mis-configured? If so, would there be a way to contact the admin and get it fixed? :-/

Thank you.

Well, for one thing, that's not Invisionfree. Also, if the admin has put up security features, then we can't do much to help. If the admin had this problem with his or her board and wanted to fix it, then we can give some advice, since he or she would have access to Admin CP and fix things.

Is there any other way that you can contact the admin?

Maybe you should try registering as a different account name or e-mail, and then once you're in the board, explain your case and try to get your account name changed.
