I actually haven't. :o I hear it's an amazing movie but I think my friends are the ones to be super impressed by all the digital stuff involved.

I went to see the digital (non-3D) version first, because i had to go a particular day and the programmation didn't fit in my schedule. That version alone already amazed me a lot - so i went to see the 3D version afterwards... twice. And i never watch the same movie twice in a year, usually. Now i've seen Avatar 3 times in a few weeks time.

Anyway, i'm not going to spoil anything here, but you should go see it. Really.

Yeah I saw it recently in 3D too. (Note: Not in an iMax though, the 3D didn't add a whole lot I imagine)
While the story isn't riveting, the characters and effects are more than enough to make up for it.

I saw it shortly after it's release and I thought it was excellent. Despite what people say about the plot, I thought it was a very well put together film. It was engaging and the effects were absolutely amazing. It didn't feel like I was aware of the effects. The transitions between the humans and anything generated was very smooth. It didn't feel like you were watching a real setting one minute and then all of a sudden a noticeably fake one. It was all compiled very nicely.

I definitely recommend this film.

Well, with a budget of 300 million dollars, it has to be good. Probably worth the experience seeing it in theaters rather than waiting for blue-ray or DVD.

I saw it in 3D, but it was in terrible seats. I think I may go see it again at some point, it was good, but maybe a tad too long!
