Slow Board since obtaining Domain

Does anyone know whether obtaining a domain name can slow down an IF Board. Mine has done so a fair bit since I bought a D Name in December. I should add that I bought the name via Godaddy. I've submitted a Support Ticket as well, asking for advice.

TIA

If the domain service provider was experiencing problems, it would obviously cause the board to load slowly. Unfortunately this is something you'd need to resolve with GoDaddy, as it's not an InvisionFree-related problem. I will see what I can do via your support ticket, though. :)

Thanks Jonathan - if I'm not satisfied with GoDaddy's response/solutions, can I default to IF's z9 server which we were on before?

Yep. You can switch back and forth between your GoDaddy domain and your IF domain at any time. :)

Is that via the drop down menu in Domain Manager? *I am thick* ;)

ETA - I've switched the option in the menu to z9.invisionfree ... etc but kept the domain name so that both work - is that OK?

Yep, that's fine.

The "Primary Domain" is simply the domain which you'll see in the Address bar when browsing your board. You can still use other domains to access your board, though. :)

I too have the same problem. So what should be done?

@ Jonathan - so far so good, since switching to z9 etc things seem to have stabilised - and it's nice to know we can keep an eye on server status should problems occur.

@ Zeeshan I should wait till IF Support contacts you as your problems may be different in nature from mine :)

I should say that, in both cases, I have not noticed any drop in performance.
