For five years (thanks to Invisionboards & zetaboards) I have owned and operated a support forum for teens who, like myself, come from an abusive background, either sexual, emotional, physical or a combination and I feel during those five years, we (as a family) have helped many teens deal with their history. At last count, I believe we had 60,000 post and I have no idea how many topics. Regretfully, because of negative influences among certain members, in haste, I recently closed the board (Boystown) and I wish to God I hadn't done that because it was still home for a lot of people and continued to serve as a beacon to many lost teens. My question is, can my zetaboard (Boystown) be restored or is it lost forever? I ask because prior to closing the board, I remember it saying that if I close it, it may not be possible to restore it and that possibility at least gives me hope that it could possibly be restored. The old URL for the forum was: http://s13.zetaboards.com/Boystown/index/ If it is possible to restore the forum, I and many others would be very very grateful. Thanks so much for your time and effort and I sincerely apologize for closing the board in haste. Danny |

http://docs.zetaboards.com/services/restorations I'd like to specifically highlight these parts for a sec: You can expect to wait a while due to the amount of information that they have to deal with when restoring boards. You'll have to open a temporary board and submit a ticket from the ACP. The support team cannot ask for sensitive information from you through the Personal Support Ticket forum. |

Because from most of late 2005, most of 2006 and pretty much all 2007, 2008 and 2009 until December came, restoration service was suspended, they most likely still have a very large queue to process right now, especially if several people maintained their restoration request for their old boards. Because of this, a board restoration may take a long while. Since restorations were resumed, despite my request having been sent two years ago, my old board still haven't been restored after one month. Those who have newer requests may have to wait a bit longer. There is no estimate, though. The key is to follow the instructions in ElementalAlchemist's link, then wait patiently. Also the person in charge of restorations most likely have school and work too. This slows down the process of restoring between 100 and 10000000 boards ![]() Also I recall reading somewhere that fees may apply on certain types of restorations. There are no indications about when they apply, though. I got a 18K post board restored from deletion years ago and I did not get charged any money. |
