Republican Scott Brown won the Massachusetts election for the Senate and is filling the seat left by Edward Kennedy. His victory gives the Republicans 41 votes. What are your thoughts on his victory?

Honestly I am surprised that Mass. didn't burst in to flames :P, with Mass being one of the most blue states in the US and them not electing a Republican to the senate since the 70s.

At lease now hopefully it will not be a "Do what we want we have a super majority" attitude the senate Dems had.

Or the first time they elected a Non-Kennedy since the 1950s.

That one guy
I think too much is made of this as a game-changer. But then, I am also fed up of party politics, so that is largely why.

If he's the man Mass. wants to represent it, great. I hope that he will be an individual and make decisions not based on pressure from his political party.

I'm not up to speed on American politics since I don't live there, but I understand this will most likely delay decent healthcare for Americans even further? I must confess that's pretty funny. :P
