The telethon, put together by George Clooney and Wyclef Jean, is airing tonight on more than 11 major networks. A number of artists and celebrities will be manning the phones and performers include Jay-Z and Rihanna taking the stage in London with U2's Bono and The Edge, as well as Madonna, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson, and Alicia Keys.

Since it will be airing on most of the major networks, traditional Friday night viewing options will be limited. So I'm curious, will you be tuning in or finding something else to do?

I'll watch. May donate if I can spare some cash. Otherwise I'll donate next week when I get paid.

It is also being streamed on Youtube by the looks of things too and it should start in just under an hour.

I was away so I missed it, but I probably wouldn't have sat down and watched it all the way through anyways. I almost never do for any shows besides the ones I watch on a regular basis.

I missed both this topic and the show. Read about it in the newspaper today though. It's pretty cool that U2 came up with a new song for the benefit.

Did the donate via text. Lines were so busy my mom couldn't get through the entire time. I imagine they made a lot of money last night.

Yes, I'll be curious to hear what the total donation amount was during the telecast.

The figures are out for the telethon: more than $57 million was raised. And an album, which was made from the performances during the event, was ranked #1 in 18 different countries on Saturday. :)

I didn't really even know about it and I haven't donated anything yet, but there's a benefit concert that as announced today for Feb. 9th that we're going to. In the end it'll be a $20 donation and some really awesome music.

My school is really getting involved in helping with the donations for Haiti. There are special places in the hallways where we can actually get out our phones and text donation numbers. Of course there are teachers that monitor them to make sure kids aren't abusing it but I really think it's a creative idea. I heard that alot of other schools were doing something like this too.

I bought Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' album on the 24th and all the income will go to Haiti.
