2009 Sucked. All I wanted to do that year is go swimming, but it didn't ever happen.

I was cutting a watermealon the knife slipped and I sliced my hand. Had to get stitches. Couldn't get it wet. *irony*

Right after that I got my stitches out and right after got bad poisen ivy.
Two weeks later My poisen ivy vanished.

I was at work unloading WATERMELONS. The pallets where stacked to high.
I climbed into the top box on the top pallet and it flipped on me and I fractured both my wrists.

I spent about two months in a cast. After I got my casts off I got really sick.
I couldn't eat, sleep, do anything. I was bleeding for about a month.
I went to the doctor and was diagnost with Ulcerative colitus.
Is a BM disease. Never goes away.
I have to take pills, stay on a low fiber diet, and never drink again.
Forever. It suckes.

Then to brighten up my situation I got out of the hospital, and had to go right back.
My baby girl was born.

Yeah, 2009 was pretty bad. I stubbed my toe thrice in succession one time. ='(
Still got the toe but I got rid of the accused table. I couldn't get rid of the skirting that got me the final time...but one day its uppance will come. :glare:

Really though, sounds like you had one hell of a year. =-/ I'd be walking around in armour by now. Have you ever had that much terrible luck before? Some people seem to be Meccas for overwhelmingly negative karma, but just as your child was gifted unto you, it seems to correct itself. ^-^ Eventually.

My friend is very unlucky, bless him. He's such a kind soul but it seems the universe is not content to let him be walked over just by people; one year, he fractured several different bones at various times throughout the year, leaving him with something broken and bandaged at any given point. On the plus side, he accumulated enough dressings with funky designs from friends to redo his room. =P

Well, I wouldn't say it was my worst year, but it wasn't the greatest either. I had Swine Flu, Seasonal Flu, had a toenail removed, my dad had surgery 4 or 5 times for a pancreatic pseudo-cyst, mom was in and out of hospital battling blood sugar...More but I don't wanna go on and on lol

2010 hasn't been too bad too us yet
Main good thing is my dad's cyst is almost gone, we go to have the stent that is in to drain it from the cyst to the stomach taken out on the 15th of February. ^_^
Bad is my grandmother has about a 95% chance she has lung cancer. She finds out for sure on the 2nd of January when she has her PET scan.

I believe that God has a reason for all this to happen though, so whatever happens happens.

Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall.

I too had a lousy summer for 2009. I had a PICC line in my arm from May until November to treat Lyme disease. So plans of golf and swimming never happened.

That bites, Stephen. I've had family members who had to have PICC lines for antibiotics, not fun. I personally don't like IV's, but they don't bother me for short periods, I guess I've just gotten use to them lol I don't think I could handle one for months at a time though, I'd probably end up ripping it out....

2009 was alright for me. Kinda uneventful.

Except we did find out my dog has lyme disease this year, which explained why she never had the energy to do anything. Poor thing, we dragged her to the Grand Canyon for a full day's walk on a family vacation before we knew. What was scary is that as a result of the lyme, her platelet count was down to extreme levels and she had a nose bleed while we were in Arizona. But she's doing better now since she's been on medication.

2009 is the year I lost my mom. I also lost a few friends. Hoping 2010 is better! So far so good.

2009 had its ups and downs.

Lost a family member but I also grew up a lot, due to that event and a couple of others, (or at least I think I did!) and got into university, studying for my dream job, which means I'm getting a bit more independent and it feels rather good!

However, I hope 2010 will get be a lot better. If all goes well, I'll be getting my driver's license, will work in the hospital for two/three months as a nursing student and will go out of the country in August with some mates.

Well it was my worst year. I was out of a job for almost 3 months as I cut the tendans on my fingers which made me unable to work. I still can't move my middle finger properly. All it can do is stretch a bit and move around like nothing. But yeah because of that I am behind on mortgage payments which kinda sucks into 2010. I also lost my budgie which I loved to bits and some unimaginable stuff has happened over the year. :(

But hey I still have my life, - I am thankful.

Nothing really happened in 2009, so I was bored all day every day.
