I don't care about Avatar, but it was about time Titanic sunk. The success of that film definitely proved women hold all the real power.

I'm a bit saddened to hear that Titanic no longer holds the record because I love it so much, but I don't particularly mind that Avatar is the movie that replaces it. :P

I never saw the appeal of Titanic in the first place... but then I come from Southampton, so I'm sick of anything Titanic related, really :P
I really did love Avatar both times I saw it, though. Sure, the storyline isn't original, but it was a 'feast' for the eyes in a manner of speaking.
Personally, I'd have preferred one of the LoTR films taking the top spot before Avatar or Titanic.

I used to live in silence, I used to sleep in silence. Now all I hear is a marching of soldiers in my head.

You haven't even seen Titanic!?! :o

I love both films and although it's a bit strange having Titanic knocked off the top spot, having been there for over a decade, it's great to see a recent movie hold the title.

Is it just me or does Avatar remind everyone else of an updated live action Ferngully? I'm actually gonna see it again tonight so my sister can see it.
