I just found another 20" monitor, so I looked up some guides on configuring X to span the desktop, and it only took me about 10 minutes of messing around with my config files to get it working So I'm now running dual 20" monitors on my computer, spanning my desktop across them both

I think Windows can do up to 16, Linux as far as I know is virtually unlimited. Keep in mind the kind of hardware you'd need to power 16 monitors, I don't think motherboards are made to hold that many cards yet, even if each one could power 2. Oh, and I'm running on 1280x1024, that'd be a total of 2560x1024. I'm thinking about going to 1600x1200 (3200x1200), that'd be awesome too ![]() My goal is to have 4 setup in a boxish fashion in a couple of years. |
