I think Windows can do up to 16, Linux as far as I know is virtually unlimited. Keep in mind the kind of hardware you'd need to power 16 monitors, I don't think motherboards are made to hold that many cards yet, even if each one could power 2. Oh, and I'm running on 1280x1024, that'd be a total of 2560x1024. I'm thinking about going to 1600x1200 (3200x1200), that'd be awesome too :yes:

My goal is to have 4 setup in a boxish fashion in a couple of years.

damn, 2560x1024 is awesome. I would love to run on that.

I'm on 1280x1024 right now, I plan to go 1600x1200 soon.

Holy crap, thats pretty sweet. The monitor I am currently is using is 14", but Im getting a new one in a couple of says which is going to be a 19", so hopefully Ill have the same experience.
