Several problems the site I'm at is having.

So far, I have noticed several things wrong with the site for my clan's forums, the Shadow Stars clan.

1) Polls can't be added. If you tried to add a poll to a post while writing one, it would just take you to the top of the page.

2) The preview for making posts may act up. A preview for a post you're writing may look like this...(click the spoiler tag for it)

Spoiler: click to toggle

It would have coding and such things that aren't in your actual post. Notice that it may be the same kind of coding as the kind for website tabs on ZetaBoards, I think.

3) The clickable emoticons aren't...well, clickable. You can't click on them while making a post; you have to type in the code by hand.

If you want to see these things for yourself, just go to this section of the Shadow Stars clan:
http://s4.zetaboards.com/Shadow_Stars/forum/3004409/
And click on "Post Topic", as usual. I'm sure you can do this, as guests are allowed to post in that part. Don't actually post a topic; just check out the three things I've stated above (the poll, the preview glitch, and the clickable emoticons) and see for yourself. The preview glitch may not happen for some people.

If anyone knows what the problems are and explain how they're acting up, I and the rest of my clan would be thankful.

Are you using Internet Explorer as your web browser? If so, is it the most up-to-date version available?

Your issue may have to do with the fact that you are using the right side post bit.
Try changing the side that the mini profile is on to the left.

You have the following script running on your site -
Code:

http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.1/jquery.min.js

Disabling this seems to fix the emoticon and preview issue so it either isn't compatible or it may be conflicting with something else. I would assume it will be the same for polls although I didn't try that.

No, I'm using FireFox; probably the latest version. Several of my clan's members also use FireFox, though a few others also use Internet Explorer and a few other browsers I can't remember the names for.

How do I change it?

So how do I disable?

Twilight is upon me, and soon night must fall.

Rather than install more unncessary things, please post your board wrapper here so we can locate the offending script and remove it.

Find the following in your board template:
Code:

<script language="javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.1/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
Remove it. I think it's in your board template, anyways - it is probably in the Javascripts box, but that's just a guess.

It worked! The polls are working again, the preview doesn't have coding in it, and the clickable emoticons are once again clickable.

Thank you very much for the help! But wait...a friend of mine said this:

i seem to have found the code that the person mentioned... but unfortunately if i delete it theres a good chance that the zetaboards people will delete the site... so im not going to mess with it

Is this true? I know it probably may be not if you suggested taking out the code, but I just need to know so I can put it out of my mind. (If it is, I can put it back in ASAP)

If it is in your Board Template then you can remove it without any fear. The only codes that must remain aren't accessible from the Admin CP anyway.

Good to know.

Well, we're good to go now. Thanks for all the help.
