Board Address: WolfClaw GDC Network Main Forums; The Feeds Page Mentioned Below Board Software: ZetaBoards Description: What I would like the code to do is, if possible, take the information from here and transfer it to a 'feed' style listing into a portal section, or an HTML/jscript code that can be posted anywhere within the board. I've already checked on the support forums if this 'feed' already has an RSS feed that can be subscribed to, and was originally planning to use a feedburner code for this. However, as can be see here, that feature currently does not exist. I am honestly uncertain if this is even possible, and isn't a priority, but it would serve as an improvement to the basic 'Last Posts' section that can normally be found in the portal, as it gives more detail, and includes more information than just posts. Thank you in advance for reading my request. ADD: P.S., if you're unable to view something you need, you can login to the forum as a basic member without needing to register and make a post: Username: CODER Password: alpha1234 I won't expect to be seeing any posts from this user, since anything you need to ask can be posted here, so I'll delete anything posted by this user. Give that a go. Should appear on the left of your portal, underneath the polls. |

It did appear, however, what appeared was larger than the space available for it. You can go ahead and see for yourself if you wish: http://forums.wolfclaw.co.cc/site Judging by how that turned out, it may have to be relocated to the 'Lower Main Section' of the portal, below the latest announcment if the size can't be reduced without breaking the section. (I can remove the current feedburner feed - It really doesn't serve any purpose aside from show whats been posted in the blog - And thats usually just redirects back to the forums announcements. |

I can write the CSS to squeeze it into the sidebar for you, but the problem is images. If you don't mind no images displaying in the feed then it's possible. Otherwise I can move it down below above the stats. |

No images is fine by me. It will hopefully tempt users into actually viewing the threads, while informing them of new posts/content at the same time. I'm not 100% sure of how well it will fit into that space in either case, without looking scrunched up. The latter option may prove to be better for this situation |

You can see what it looks like by adding this to the CSS section, before the closing </style> tag:

That fixed the stretching issue and it works quite nicely. From this point on anything else will more or less be unnecessary things that you don't really have to bother with if you don't wish to. Thank you Pete. Anyway, for purposes of comparing functionality, and seeing if we can reduce the length of the page, is there a chance we can test the code with the section being on the lower main section of the portal? |
