Please especially note the new guidelines for image hosting below... Welcome to the General Themes forum! Your themes can be shared for public release here. Posting your theme here will make it available to be used throughout the network. If you'd like to just showcase your work without sharing it, the Creative Showcase subforum is the place for you! If you'd like some help refining your theme before releasing it for community use, you are very welcome to make a topic in the Theme & Code Support forum. NOTE: All member themes will be submitted to this gallery, however that doesn't mean your theme will stay here. The staff may agree that your theme is exceptional and move it to the Recommended themes gallery with the rest of the staff and (formerly) WOWed themes. When submitting a theme... When posting a theme please remember use the template below. You can add more information if you would like. ![]()
(You can link to your theme topic or profile page as well if you like.) After a bit of exposure in the main gallery, your topic will be moved into the appropriate subforum. ![]() When commenting on a theme...
I submitted a theme, but nobody has offered me any criticism, why? If you want to receive criticism and advice, the themes gallery forum is not the place to initially post your theme. The Showcase forum is available for that purpose, and allows more meaningful criticism to be offered. Please post your theme in Creative Showcase to invite critique and suggestions. I want to share my theme, but I don't want it to be critiqued by others. What should I do? Sometimes members like to offer their advice to you, however if you would prefer not to receive any constructive criticism on your submission, it is perfectly acceptable to include a note in your topic to that effect. |

I'd like to recommend this helpful blog post by Lothlómendil Details Every Theme Designer Should Know It gives some very good tips on alerting you to areas of the board that need your styling attention, and how to present your preview in the most helpful way to users that might be interested in installing your theme on their board. This designer resource list compiled by Pedro may also be helpful: http://support.zathyus.com/topic/621911/ |

Consider sharing your theme's images via an HTML Image macros page: EXAMPLE This saves users the tedious task of rehosting all the images you provide in your zip file download, and then installing them one by one in their AdminCP. An HTML image macros page can be easily copied to a user's AdminCP by running a couple of small scripts in their developer console. For a template and instructions on how to make an HTML Image Macros page for your board, please see this tutorial: http://support.zathyus.com/topic/5232167 |
