I've seen this on a vBulletin board and I thought it was a good idea. Basically you can use [mod] tags to create a moderator action. Currently this is how I do it on my own board:
Moderator Action: Cool it! (Where "Cool it!" is the message, pres quote to see the tags used)
However it gets rather messy and also the color changes depending on the level of the staff (e.g. admin is blue, "Super Moderator" is red, and the moderator is purple). I think it would be a good idea to do this.

Also, perhaps it could be set that you can activate it in the user-group change to prevent members from using it -- if a member tries to use the [mod] tag it just won't parse, also it would be cool if the color could change with the user-group color, perhaps with the suffixes and stuff.

If you dont get anything Im saying dont worry just ask -- :)

I suggested a similar thing there. Please reply that thread saying Your reasons above, so EA will know, that not only single Nemo would want to see that feature, but another people as well ;)
