You're getting better and better, one thing I suggest is working on blending. Blending is a huge, huge, huge thing in art in general, whether it be skinning or painting.

What I mean by this, is that I would suggest you start mixing in colours that contrast with each other, that the colours flow smoothly together. In this case, Dark red and forest green don't really flow well together, but I understand what you were aiming for. The design concept of this is pretty good, keep it up. It's always nice to see people improve over time. :)

Many gradients don't flow... And just... End. Otherwise well done.

The colors clash too hard and the H2 is very large...keep working though!

Dark Swamp Green doesn't really fit with Dark Crimson Red. It does give a killer reptilia effect but it didn't do well with blending with each other to spare brightness of the color's contrast. I would probably recommend you practicing more on the design and color-picking aspect of your next themes. This looked a bit too rushed. I also think that the added text-shadow on most parts added to the brightness of the whole theme making it not really eye-friendly.

Great work on coding it though. I know that took quite a while.

Taking into consideration what this theme was build for, I think it achieves some success. It gives you that reptilian, swamp vibe. I have observed through your series of submissions that you are developing a rather chunky, primitive style that is quite distinctive, don't get talked out of that as you refine and perfect your techniques.

As for the color controversy, I would offer that red and green are complimentary colors and can flow together, it's all a matter of shading and saturation levels. Some of your brighter greens give a "glow" effect to the theme that is quite nice. I think that's something that could be played up a bit more. The cell gradients are a bit untamed as has been mentioned, and that causes a bit of a visual roller coaster effect for me, especially on the forum topics page. Traveling through this theme is kind of like a trip through a theme park. Or maybe Jurassic Park. ^_^

Thanks for sharing your creation with us. Is this a main theme for your Speculative Evolution board? or is it something experimental?

Both :)

Are you referring to the fact that the td ends and a brighter hex code starts? I haven't saw that (or else I wouldn't of put that hex code) but someone at GForce put a screenshot of that happening.

The only thing I can see as being too clashing is the a:hover...

What do you mean by "chunky"?

I think when she says chunky, she meant big size everything. :D

Yes. Big bold shapes, and the scale of the elements that make up your pieces in relation to the rest of the page. Chunky. :) I was identifying and appreciating it as a characteristic of your design style.

I thought only the h2 was big...

Also, for the "reptillian" look all I did was make a layer, duplicate it then on the above layer use the Mosaic filter, and maybe decrease the opacity or put it in overlay. I should make a tutorial on it soon.

This theme is really good for what it was being made for however, I agree with the quoted post.
