Always look out for the latest versions. I use iTunes myself. But i always get all nofications when the latest versions arrives from the apple company. Of i pod shuffle and iTunes and etc. So u may need to update to the next version as the old version would of have an out of date upon it. like all techincal softwares and etc that we buy and update within all our lives. It's a never ending process always.
Except that he has Mac OS 9, which is incapable of upgrading to a better version.
Oh ok, Pandorasaurus. At least I tried to help him, and at least it was the thought that counts, right.

Thanks for trying to help, guys, though I never got the problem fixed.

It's alright now because I got a new laptop for Christmas, and I listen to iTunes on there.

Well, if your still interested in getting your PowerBook/iBook G4's copy of iTunes updated, there's a link to the 2.0.4 installer here.

btw, now that you have a new laptop, whats' going to happen to the G4?

Most all Macs running OS 9 can be upgraded to OS X, not the latest version but 10.3 or 10.4 which are the best for older Macs.

Sorry for taking months to answer, but I'll be keeping my old Mac as a back-up computer, just in case I need it.

It's fine. :) I know how reality can be so distracting and keep us away from our "little world" in the World Wide Web. :P
