Chrome or Opera, depending on my mood/which account the computer is logged into.

Chrome is fast, and has a great look (yeah, I'm shallow) while I like Opera's built-in features.

Oh, by the way, Opera lets you use Private Tabs. :)

Also, what does Firefox have that Opera doesn't? ;)
The following list contains things that: Opera doesn't have, only Firefox has, other browsers do badly, Opera does badly etc.
Ad Blocker
Spell Checker
StumbleUpon
Gamer Control (WASD and various other left handed controls to navigate pages)
Firebug
Web Dev toolbar
Foxytunes (controls iTunes within the browser)
IDM compatibility
Chatzilla (handy for being super-easy to use and has the Firefox spell checker)
Collapsible toolbars

It's also the browser we're developing for at uni. It's also open source so we'll never be charged for any add-ons. Fernicia stares at Chrome. >_>

Opera 11 introduces add-ons, mostly to make people like you shut up, since all/most of the functionality you really need is already in the browser core. :P As such, the number of existing extensions is small, but growing fast.
Just saying...I tried out Opera 10 for 2 weeks... :X

Short post: Opera has had a spell checker forever (or just since Opera 10, one of those :P ), and it's, in my experience, not bad at all. I've never used chatzilla, so I can't compare the IRC clients, although I remember the Opera IRC client being aimed at more beginner IRC users than I am. I still remain of the stance that a dedicated standalone IRC client is better than any IRC plugin for another program. ;)
Opera's extensions include an Adblock/NoScript clone, but I haven't used it, so I can't comment on its quality.

Yes! You joined the cult collection of people who use a good browser.

Now, if only you used a good OS...

EA: Web Developer and Colorzilla is enough for me to make Opera not my browser. Then there's APNG Edit, My Youtube Video Downloader, Forcastfox, Gmail Manager, and Yahoo Toolbar, which except for the Gmail manager I use enough to not look at another browser.

I'm a chromium sort of guy. But I use opera on occasion. Anything with side tabs is good enough for me.

EA: If you were to draw a Venn diagram of the time I spend with my browser open and the time I spend on IRC you'll find that the latter element fits entirely into the former, thus proving it's convenience.

You can pick colors with Dragonfly. :P Although I figured I'd do my research, and apparently Colorzilla does a bunch of color-related stuff. So for your specific use case, point proven.
