First, I really don't know if I posted on the correct section, or if the title of the topic is correct. Because I can't explain very well what I want i made a screen--> http://i53.tinypic.com/i6a4wp.jpg How do I create the red part and how do I situate them in the left of the forum? On the other forum they call it 'widget', is this the name of it? It's not very clear for me, are they tables? I know I'm stupid, but my HTML experience is almost 0, and I really didn't found them in AdminCP. |

The highlighted red portion is a sidebar that can go on the left or ride side of the main board. Alternatively, there are topbars. There's tons of stuff you can add to them. Sidebar content (html) is added by going to Board Wrappers > Header & Body. To style the sidebar, you add the custom CSS to Board Wrappers > Manage Style Sheets. There are unique things you can add to a sidebar which might involve using javascript, those will go in Board Wrappers > Javascript Brook's sidebar is very popular and there are varying kinds involving images as backgrounds etc, all of which can be viewed at the link below. http://z3.invisionfree.com/brookssidebar/index.php?act=idx Widgets are special codes that you can implement. For example, let's say you have a Twitter account and want to add a Twitter widget, you sign into your twitter account and they will give you the widget code to paste in board wrappers. If you wanted to add a chatbox like Shoutmix, there's a widget for that. |
