Finally got back into doing some web work this last week. Worked fine in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. Open it in Internet Explorer 9, which was supposed to support more modern web standards. Whoops, img tags still have the damn outline by default, floats are screwed up, the fonts are all weird, and I still have to use the damn workarounds I had to use for IE7 and 8. |: |

/\ THAT! It's at the point now where I'm considering not coding for IE and instead coding a message suggesting people should switch to another browser. Edited by Paper, Apr 13 2011, 09:36 AM.

IE9 is a terrible browser. So is IE8, IE6, and everything below there. The only OK one is IE7. |

I've never thought IE was any good. However looking at the market share it holds, it is something we have to deal with and account for. A tip: use strict doctypes, they usually makes life a lot easier.

O_o IE7 was awful. It was IE6 with tabs. IE9 is much better from a web-standards perspective. I used Firefox since before it was called Firefox, but I just switched to Chrome last week because Firefox is so damn slow. |
