I've been looking at our BBCode for the editor for new topics and replies to see which code has buttons visible and which are hidden. I noticed that what is visible or invisible does not correspond with what is checked and unchecked in the BB Code Preferences list arrived at as follows: Board Preferences > BB Code > BBCode setup We have a separate set of code in the Board Template (Below the board) which relates to the buttons of the editor, so I wanted to ask if the code in the Board Template overrides the normal board settings? And if so, would this always be the case, that the board templates override the board settings? Thanks. Zed |

If you have added a custom BBCode managing script then it will override what is already set to appear. Javascripts act on something after the raw HTML has been loaded so this will always be the case. Perhaps the code could be edited in such a way to stop it overriding certain settings, I don't know what the code is supposed to do exactly so I can't comment definitively. Pete |

Hi Pete, Thanks! One of my members did add code to the board template to redo the editing functions, so I expect you're right. So far, the different BBCodes seem to work manually regardless of what setting they have and that's okay. Zed |
