Board Address: http://s4.zetaboards.com/Starjade_Shore/index/ Board Software: ZetaBoards Description: Wow... well, basically I want it to do what this forum just did. Anywhoo. My board is a role-playing board, and each character people have get their own account. For example, Kermit the Frog would be one account, Rowlf the Dog would be another, even though they're both played by Jim Henson. So! Each character has their own posting code to make their posts unique and look pretty. For example! Kermit's post style might look like this: Kermit popped out of the Muppet Show logo with a smile on his face. "It's the Muppet Show! With tonight's guest star, Andy Samberg!" While Rowlf's might look like this: Rowlf sat at his piano and looked towards the audience."Tonight, I'm going to play a classic that no one's heard before." A lot of people keep their post styles in the Member Notes area. I was thinking it's be a lot easier if there was some way for a script to automatically move the things from their notes (or if there was another way to store their custom post tags?) into their new topic text boxes, full reply boxes, and quick reply boxes. Like I said, when I started the new topic here, it already had the Board Address/etc info in the box. Pretty much like that, except each member would be able to edit what is posted in. I have looked around all 27 pages of the coding/mods and couldn't find anything :( |

Ahh, that's close! But is there any way that the members can edit it themselves? |

They would have to edit the template when it appears in the screen. If you want them to have a page where they edit it and it appears that way in the screen, that will require some extensive modifications; I'm not even sure if it's possible. |

@holliness I'm not sure i get this, in the examples above the members both has two styles of writing. try this, it adds a button in the post screen and on the fast reply box. when ever you click it then it inserts the code that each user specifies you need to make a textbox profile field and what ever its called should go in the code where it says PROFILE FIELD NAME |
