First off if this is in the wrong area I do apologize.

I am new to skinning and working on a board of my own. My main problem is images for places like the main title. I use GIMP and can't seem to figure out how to get a gradient to go from one to another and back to the original color. Are there any tutorials out there explaining how to do this?

I think what you are talking about is putting the highlight in the center of the gradient?

If so, activate the gradient tool and start dragging your cursor from the center to either the top or bottom of your selection. (Hold down the shift key while dragging to keep the line perfectly straight)

:) glad to help. Ask anytime you get stuck. I've found that sometimes, you can't even google for help because you don't know the right search terms. I ran into that a lot until I got to know the program fairly well. I can probably help with most Gimp questions you have.

Thank you! I was trying google, but wasn't sure what terms were correct so wasn't really coming up with what I needed.
