It may seem like a simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. My guess was PHP or javascript, but I'm not sure. You know all of those coders over in the requests area? I'd like to learn how to code, but I don't know the language zetaboards uses, so I can't even begin looking for a place to start learning. You have my apologies if this is the wrong section for this, but it seemed the most appropriate here. |

Zetaboards is coded in XHTML 1.0 Transitional (look at the doctype). Javascript is used for page interaction, like BBCode. For the server-side language it's probably PHP, but I'm not sure. |

That would make javascript the language I'm interested in, most likely. Thank you for taking the time to post. I definitely appreciate it.

If you want to code for ZetaBoards you basically want to learn XHTML, CSS and JavaScript/AJAX (forms of AJAX are disabled on various pages, however). You can use server-side languages like PHP and MySQL, but it requires some advance techniques to use it on a ZetaBoards forum, essentially grabbing the script from your web host to parse it on the page. |
