I love the Portal feature on Zetaboards, let me say that before I come to my question. It's better than a lot of portals I've seen on other forums. :)

But... is there a way to have the main section display something else but the posts from just a single forum section/board?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but there are so many topics here, asking an old question again might actually be faster and easier than sifting through a dozen pages of search results. What can I say, I am lazy. XD ;)

So, instead of having the main section of the portal restricted to posts from Board XYZ, is there any way (code or whatever) to have it display the latest five or ten posts posted instead, wherever they might have been posted? The forum obviously knows what posts have been written lately, so can I use that to make those posts show on the portal in full, not just as a link in the "latest posts" section?

Go into your Admin CP. Find Preferences under Board Customization. Click on the Portal box on the new page that comes up when you click Preferences.

Change Show posts from to none.
