Board Address: http://s1.zetaboards.com/Kragoks_Hockey/index/ Board Software: ZB Description: I'm not sure the Flexible Form Script can do this, as it only appears to PM and/or Post Topics. I'd like a way to adapt the form to post a reply in a thread. Additionally, I'd like the form to support table use. Basically what I would like is a form that can be setup to reproduce these posts seen here. With the new EA Sim Engine the amount of time it takes to simulate a hockey game takes less than it does to actually put down the results on our forums. Is there anyone that could update/modify this code OR show me how I would go about setting that up with this existing code? |

I sent an offline IM to Reid letting him know that someone wants to see one of his codes modified, if he's not too busy, he may just reply. |

I understand if he's busy, is there perhaps an alternative solution I am unaware of? It should be relatively easy to get at what I'm looking for with the link I included, and the form mod I saw on here is a very nice looking script, it's just impractical for a new topic to be generated every use on our forums. Thanks. |

Basically a new code would have to be created or the current code would have to be modified and the current code can only be modified by Reid or by anyone else with his permission. |

Reid actually lets anyone edit/redistribute his codes normally as long as they keep the copyright in place. Check the copyright at the top - http://z3.ifrm.com/313/104/0/p366373/form_script.js I don't think I'll have time to edit this soon though so other coders are more than welcome to give it a go

Never noticed that, thanks. If you still need this, lonewolfe2015, I will look into editing it, but of course since Reid is a master of JavaScript, the code may be too complex for me to edit. Did you want to support the use of HTML or BBCode tables? |

I do indeed have a desire to use a modified version of this script. BBCode tables if possible please. So we'd go to the form, I'd have the option of setting various custom fields for the person to fill out, and it could post in the designated topic both bbcode tables (information that was specified to be filled into the table) and regular non-table text fields like it already appears to handle but without replying in a topic. Thanks for any assistance you can be. |

Sorry, I don't think I have the time or anticipation to look into some advance edits like this, and with my little knowledge in JavaScript, I would likely muck up Reid's code. Someone else will have to do it. However, the form can already parse BBCode tables. If you insert a BBCode table into a textarea, it will display the table in the post. |

Right. But by the looks of things they'd have to manually set up the table each time and/or post it, just like a regular reply does anyways. I was moreso hoping I could set up a form where they'd get designated fields for shots on goal, time on attack, etc. Fill it out for Home/Away and then it would fill those fields in the precoded table. Following that up with a text input field for 1st period goals, 2nd period, etc. Penalties... 3 Stars of games. Then submitting that would post the reply into our Game Results thread, and save a few minutes for each game so the "chore" of simming games for our laid back fantasy league is gone. I understand if you're not up for it though and appreciate any attempt you put into it. If anyone else would like to that would be great, if not I'll just bide my time until something similar is made or can be done. |

This request has gone a lengthy period of time without any new activity, therefore it is being marked as expired. This means that the request was typically too time-consuming or irritating for coders (who provide this service voluntarily in their free time) to complete. Thank you. |
