Board Address: www.shadowstars.co.uk Board Software: Zetaboards Description: On our fourm, the way we clean up the forums is to use an auto tool to make a post saying "This topic has run its course and will now be archived. Any complaints can be PM'd to myself" and it is sent to the archive section of the forums where all the old topics are. Is there a way that the archiving autotool will not make the archived topic appear on the portal? It's really annoying when someone cleans out a whole section of the forums and the portal becomes cluttered with those topics. |

Add a prefix to the topic title with the autotool such as [A] and use the following code. Admin CP Themes Board Template Below the Board

Yeah, it will essentially remove archived topics. Removing archived topics and always having the same amount of latest posts display would probably require too many AJAX requests because you would have to grab that data from the forums and compare the dates to determine what the latest topics are, essentially rewriting the whole latest posts portal feature. |
