Shoutbox Post Background Colour

I just added a shoutbox to my site last night upon a member asking for it. It all looks fine apart from every 2nd post, the background of the post is a horrible contrast white. Not only does it look bad but it makes the text incredibly hard to read and can hurt your eyes. I really want this fixed so its either a different colour or the same colour as the other posts inbetween. All the same would be fine it doesnt need to be a different colour anyway, especially not white

Here is my board: http://s11.zetaboards.com/Dead_Rising_RPF/index/ You can see what I mean in the shoutbox at the top of the forum

I have tried researching into this and got nowhere so i have no idea how to go about fixing this (i hope it can be done) The other members dont like it either so its as much for their benefit as my own. There are no options in the admin cp under the shoutbox header so i dont know how to do this, assuming i need to add some code to the CSS maybe? If so what i dont know

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Perhaps that theme didn't originally support the shoutbox or some such? That's most likely.

Anyway, find #shoutbox li.odd in the CSS and change its background color.

That did it, perfect thank you :D Helps when you know what code you're looking for, the CSS is so big its not easy to find stuff. Wasnt sure it was even there since it was a built in thing

Thanks for the quick reply also, appreciated :D No more ugly white
I have another problem now..

One member is saying the shoutbox keeps disappearing for him. Said it worked fine yesterday but now messages keep disappearing. Everyone else says its fine. Any idea what could be causing this? All i did was change the background colour, made it so you can see more shouts and made it auto refresh every 30 seconds. Nothing else was changed from last night so i dont get why he suddenly keeps not being able to see the shoutbox

Is the entire shoutbox not showing up for him, or just individual shouts within the box?

What connection speed does he have? Is he using an older IE browser?

He says it keeps disappearing and its the entire thing not just individual shouts. He said 'It's just the whole things people have written that disappear' I asked him to take a screenshot of it as it might help figure out what the problem is. This is what it keeps doing for him: http://i43.tinypic.com/alg1no.png

I asked his internet speed and browser and he said 'Well I know I use a mobile dongle. It was showing up properly when you first put the shoutbox in. Then the next it started doing that' I could assume the internet could be the problem but when he said it worked fine at first (before i made these few changes) then i dont get why these things have suddenly made it not work right

It seems fine for everyone else, only other comment i've had is it doesnt work right on an iPod
