Feature idea: Joinable Group Blog Admin CP > Board Setup : Enable Blogging by joinable groups?: Yes/No Leaders of a joinable group can give members from their group permission to maintain the group blog. Why? - Social media is hot these days, whats more social then a group of members who maintain a blog dedicated to their favorite subject and have other forum members follow the blog and make comments? *** examples below - Gives joinable groups something extra then just being a group of members - Joinable group blogs is easier to moderate compared to individual members having their own blogs Examples: - Gaming Forum : Joinable group dedicated to their favorite video game, where certain members maintain a blog about that game. - Music forum : Joinable group dedicated to their favorite band where certain members maintain a blog about that band. -Sports Forum : Joinable group dedicated to their favorite basketball team where certain members maintain a blog about that team. Few things that might be useful if this gets implemented: - Staff should be able to use the group blogs(posting, deleting, editing basically the normal moderation stuff) even when they aren't a part of that group - joinable group request: members can request a joinable group, the admin(s) will then get 2 options accept and deny. If accepted the member gets a PM with "You joinable group request has been accepted, please allow us some time to set it up." If denied the member gets a pm with "Sorry your joinable group request has been denied, please contact an admin for more information." |
