I like this idea. I would also like it if Admins could opt out of post merge. |

They already can. Usergroup setting: Can ignore post merge (if enabled)? Yes/No. Edited by Nemomon, Nov 21 2011, 11:09 AM.

I am aware that there was a lot of problems adding it in the first place, and therefore Brandon decided to add a ckeck square instead. I was thinking, maybe this problem can be solved in the same manner as the default avatar is working: - adding a box for it in "Edit Theme Images" - adding in Preferences -> Topics & Posts --> Display the default Multi Quote Image instead of check box? What do You think? |

With this, all the check boxes will still remain untouched as well as Admins will not need to add a custom code for this effect.

I have a feeling the JavaScript code created for this will be very popular, so I don't see why this option wouldn't be considered. Me and Helena used the code in the Halo Wars and Structural theme.

I really like this solution. It takes care of the issue of all the themes that would never get updated, but makes the image option easier to implement.

This solution isn't the best given one thing: The theme selector. The way you've suggested it would make it work for all themes, just like the default avatar works for all themes. I think the JavaScript solution is simply the best/easiest. |

yes, but if no default avatar image is inserted in a particular theme, then nothing changes even if the avatar option is turned on. This could work the same way. Seems an elegant solution. |

But that's different. That's simply not showing anything. (AKA what's in the box. Nothing.) Not showing anything would effectively disable multiquote in the theme. It wouldn't default to the checkbox unless a per-theme check was done. And that's extra work and unnecessary. The JavaScript solution is simple and can be installed on a per-theme basis. |

Indeed, there could be a problem. If it would be enabled, some themes would not have Multi Quote at all (empty box for it = disable button because check box is not appearing too), while the other themes would have it. Either Admins would need to update their themes and add Multi Quote buttons (or change them to the ones with blank button template), or stuck with all their themes with check boxes if they love them so much, so they cannot change them to better ones. === Optionally... add image boxes for MultiQuote. If the first box (unchecked Multi Quote) is empty, button will be shown as check box. Otherwise as a buton from the image box. |

Simple request. For example if I will input to word filter this:
and then in post I will write:
I don't know. Maybe I don't really know how to use badword filter. Or maybe something wrong is with it. With a lot of new BBCodes, especially CLASS BBCode this can be very helpful. Please consider this. |

I'm apposed to this, simply because it may conflict with bbcode in a third party script, there's no uniform and coherency and thats when its most likely to resort in bugs. I'm sure there's a combination of BBCodes that would spell out another bbcode so imho its not a good idea.
