ACP banner to identify the board being administered

Please can the ACP banner tell staff what board they are actually administering, rather than just say "Zetaboards ACP", as it does at present.

My suggestion would be that where the current logo (http://z3.ifrm.com/static/acp/acplogo.png) appears, there be a small block of html which gives the board title (this is set within the ACP at "Board Settings") in a nice bold font, and underneath that text appears a smaller version of the acplogo.

This does not have all the security risks with more general ACP themes. It's pretty important, IMO, that you know at once what board is being administered, for people who have admin access to more than one board especially; and this solution is (I think) safe and easy to implement.

In the meantime here's a CSS solution, which means you would have to do it for every theme if you are following the link with the theme ID attached:
Code:

#acplogin h1 img {
display: none;
}

#acplogin h1 {
background: url(http://) no-repeat;
}
Replace 'http://' with your ACP logo image URL. This will allow you to attach the board name to a new logo to use in place of the default logo.

I believe he wants this in the ACP itself, not just the ACP login. :P

In that case, a worthy suggestion. :)

Yes, this is a request for the ACP itself. Themes don't apply there, for reasons that have been explained to me in an earlier request. In a word, security.

If I have 15 tabs open on my browser, and 2 of them are the ACP itself for two different boards, I want to be able to tell at a glance which one I am working on.

I think this is a good idea! I'm using a lot of test boards at once.

Yes, please. Any time I'm moving anything from test board to test board (like theme scripts or css snippets), I have to physically remember what board what, and I have enough on my mind when I'm coding anyways.

Yeah, I just ran into this today when working on my main board and its test board. It would be a great feature!

What I usually do is hover over the Return to Board link and check the board name in the status bar. That's the best solution until a option like this is implemented, most likely.

Yep, and then I have to take my mouse of the CSS template and then move it back once I've confirmed I'm in the right board. Sounds lazy, but it does take a bit of time especially when trying to focus on something.

When I have more than one ACP open, I check the browser's location bar to see what board it is.
But I wouldn't object to an easier solution, either. ;)
