Board Address: http://s7.zetaboards.com/Burnin_Rubber/
Board Software: ZetaBoards
Description: Hey everybody! I'm looking to slightly modify my skin changer's set up. In essence, I'd like it to be more like the forum jump feature. What I mean is there would be categories of themes, instead of just one big list. For instance, instead of...

Theme 1
Theme 2
Theme 3
Theme 4
Theme 5

It'd be...

Main Themes
- Theme 1
- Theme 3
Other Themes
- Theme 2
- Theme 4
- Theme 5

This would primarily be to keep my board's soon to be larger collection of themes prim and proper looking. Maybe separate them into Darks and Lights, we aren't sure. But we do know that any organization would be much better than one big alphabetical list once you open up the changer.

Thanks for anything you can do. :)

No, in the actual selector at the bottom of the page. Let me try to provide a better example.

Here the skins are currently in this order:

Christmas Eve
Cool Mint
Resource World
Vivid
ZetaBoards Midnight

I'd like to be able to make categories and sort the skins manually. So, for instance, the skin list in the theme changer here would then look like this if you separated them by dark and light:

Dark Skins
- Christmas Eve
- Resource World
- Vivid
- ZetaBoards Midnight
Light Skins
- Cool Mint

It'd just be for organization and and easier way to choose skins.

You can try: http://resources.zetaboards.com/topic/5088911/1 :) The only problem with the code is that it shows the first theme in the list in the selector when it's not clicked on, rather than the theme you're on (if my memory is correct).

Heavy duty coding there.

Thanks though, I'll work on it. :)

This doesn't replace the theme changer but moves the selected themes around, so the selected theme is still selected
Code:

<script type='text/javascript'>
var themegroup = [
["Winter","bar","foo"],
["Random","test"]
]
var setskin = $('#setskin');
for(var i=0,k=themegroup.length;i<k;i++){
var group = $("<optgroup label='"+themegroup[i][0]+"' />");
setskin.append(group);
for(var j=1,m=themegroup[i].length;j<m;j++){
$('option:contains('+themegroup[i][j]+')',setskin).appendTo(group);
}
};
</script>
The first name is the name of the group followed by the names of the themes in that group.

I believe that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll report back later today. :)
Where does that go?
I'll be honest, I'm a bit lost as how to install this. :P If somebody can point me in the right direction... what I want to see when I click on the skin changer bar is...

Main Themes
     Apollo Steel
     Erebus Steel
Other Themes
     Acerbic
     Furia Orange
     Burning Rubber Mobile

It goes in

Admin CP > Board Template > Below the Board

and make sure you spell the names right.

I just don't quite understand where exactly to write everything in.

I have two categories, and five themes total. I honestly have no idea where to write all of the information into the code so it will work.

Sorry about my lack of understanding here!

Code: HTML

<script type='text/javascript'>
var themegroup = [
["Main Themes","Apollo Steel","Erebus Steel"],
["Other Themes","Acerbic","Furia Orange","Burning Rubber Mobile"]
]
var setskin = $('#setskin');
for(var i=0,k=themegroup.length;i<k;i++){
var group = $("<optgroup label='"+themegroup[i][0]+"' />");
setskin.append(group);
for(var j=1,m=themegroup[i].length;j<m;j++){
$('option:contains('+themegroup[i][j]+')',setskin).appendTo(group);
}
};
</script>
That would do it :)
