Hi. I read somewhere that if people don't validate their accounts after 30 days or so, it gets deleted automatically per the settings in the Admin CP. But does this apply to only first time registrants that are not activated in time or is it something that applies to anyone needing to 'validate' their accounts in general? Sorry if that ain't making much sense. What I mean is, if I am already a member and I choose to change my email address to one that needs to be clicked on, and I don't activate it within the 30 day limit, does that delete me or just keep me forever listed as validating? Hope you can tell me.

It would apply to any registrations that appear in the validation queue here: ACP > Users and Groups > Manage Validating. You can change the expiration time here: ACP > System Settings > Security and Privacy: Remove incomplete registration validations after... To disable, leave blank |

Ah... Cool... So, if I do that on my accounts, will they be deleted? Unfortunately, what if they use auto register? |

Accounts that do not require email activation will not appear in the queue. But if you have required email validation for your community, you can avoid the queue for your own multiple accounts by pre-registering them. ACP > Users and Groups > Pre-Register I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. If the above does not answer your question, could you explain a bit more what you wish to happen? |

I'm not the owner of the board. I just wondered if it was possible to delete your accounts without intervention from an admin after they are created. ProBoards lets you delete the accounts and posts yourself (though maybe it's possible for admins to disable that option). ![]() Also, you must have thousands of unvisited boards on your networks (invisionfree.com & ZetaBoards) since a lot of boards never get deleted or visited again. Anyway, carry on.

Only Admin can delete member accounts if asked, then it's at their discretion. |

That rule should be changed, though. ![]() |
