I'm getting the same error; I was going to post separately, but it makes sense to just pop in here. :3 My board (I'm an admin, not root though) is http://z13.invisionfree.com/theknightserrant/index.php Firfox gives me:
Opera gives me:
I'm on PlusNet, which I gather had some related issues some time ago with s15 or something? But I'm not sure how/if they were solved. I can open the page on a proxy server, and I know the server's not down. And I know that a couple of others at least have been able to access it - though I don't know whether through a proxy or not. Is there any other information needed?

It's the same with me. Though some z13 sites (I think it might just be the one I'm a root admin on, though) allow me to access any page that isn't an actual topic. I'm also on Plusnet, on Firefox. Strangely, I can access the sites using any apple products, just not Windows. |

That's weird cos I'm on Plusnet too and used chrome and firefox on a macbook pro. With Safari the site loads but can't post. Wish someone from Invisionfree would reply, so if it's ISP related we can all get on to Plusnet about it and get it fixed. I need to get onto my site and so do my mods (and they're all plusnet too). gawd. There was similar problems with s15 some time back, here's the link I found to a pageful of unhappy people http://if.invisionfree.com/search/?c=1&q=plusnet&type=post&sort=desc&forum[]=-1&s_m=9&s_d=15&s_y=2002&e_m=2&e_d=7&e_y=2012 now the other site I have has gone down and has the same error The encoding error states that the fault is with the site owner, it doesnt say the fault is with our ISP's. Come on Zeta/Invision people, surely someone reads this forum. How on earth they expect people to actually pay for this software? If you try it out and it goes wrong like this has, then you're not gonna buy it are you? Edited by Muddles, Feb 7 2012, 06:37 PM.

There was an issue like this once before where content encoding errors occurred on InvisionFree boards related to one ISP being used. I'm also sure it was Plusnet that time too. I'll bring this up to the developer so they can get this fixed up again. Sorry for any inconvenience caused from this, and I'll try and find out whether this is caused on our end, or on Plusnet's end.

Muddles, I'm not sure what you're referring to with "upgrading to paid". InvisionFree has no paid upgrade. It offers Ad Removal for a fee, but that's hardly a paid upgrade and this is by no means a "try before you buy" scenario. InvisionFree is chiefly now, has chiefly been, and will continue to chiefly be: a free service. Paid for by advertising on the forums. That's why ad removal costs money, it offsets lost revenue from a lack of ads on the board. That said, Moonface is correct. These things happen from time to time - quite infrequently, and in the past have been the fault of a specific ISP. This appears to be the case here, as well. Moonface has alerted our developer of the problem. |

Just thought I'd add to the confusion a little more! ^^; One of my members (on http://z13.invisionfree.com/theknightserrant/index.php) is also having issue getting on - but only at work, where she's on Easynet, of all things. I don't know if PlusNet and Easynet are related, either, so I don't know if it's a related issue - but just in case it is. :3 |

Oh dear, seems like the problem's back in exactly the same manner as before (even my member on Easynet at work). And no, clearing the cache on neither Opera nor Firefox works. I know you guys fixed it last time, but I was wondering what the problem turned out to be? Is it a recurring thing, or different every time?
