Board URL: http://w11.zetaboards.com/A_Blood_Red_World/index/ Software: Zetaboards Description: The way I have it set up, there are 3 different banned ranks on my board. One for add bots, one for perma banned members, and one for temp banned members. The banned members are banned but can still see one section of the board and post there, even the permanent banned members. The section is Hell and other than staff members and the banned ones, it is isolated from all other members. Mods and Admins both have the duty to ban members for a period of time when needed. however, mods can only ban members from the warring level thingy... what ever that is called. Where as admins can change the rank to the banned rank. These have two different effects. The members changed to the banned ranks and not banned the traditional way have the desired effect of still being able to post but only in Hell. however, the only way Mods can ban people is the traditional way through the warning level thing and that bans them from all of the board, does not change the rank, and is not how I like it. So I would like to have it set up so that Mods have the ability to change a member's rank. This way to avoid the trouble of them having to turn to an admin every time and have them do it for the mod, thus making the mod almost useless in the first place. |

Do you mean Group? Like your other post, this isn't possible as client side code cannot in any way alter, edit, change, manipulate or read server side code. It can do things automatically but only if said system is already in place. That being said, you can use auto member tools to allow mods to change the group from members.. |
