Board Address: http://killorgy.com/index/ Board Software: ZetaBoards Description: Finding a reliable external hosting site where I can host my scripts. Recently, I've been having trouble with space cause there's so much that I want to implement in my boards. What I did was copy and paste individual scripts to Notepad (I use Windows), save them as <name>.js files, and uploaded them to my public folder in dropbox. For example, I have a script named sigspoil.js, which is this:
You can find it here: https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Public/Javascripts/sigspoil.js?w=43440af0 Notice that you can't access it. I suspect this is the reason why it doesn't work because, if you go to my boards and browse around, there is no option to toggle signatures. What I really want to know is how you guys upload to that site that's like z4.ifirm or something like that. I really need something like that so I can save space. Please help! ***Edit It just came on. I don't even know when it goes offline

You can use Dropbox, just upload to the /public/ folder. Once you upload the file there, click on it, then click "Copy Public Link". The reason why it works seemingly on and off, is because you log in and out of Dropbox. When you log in, you can see it because you can now access that private folder on your own Dropbox. When you're not logged in, you can't see it because it's private. Edited by Sjaeles, Apr 29 2012, 01:55 AM.

But I want it to be up all the time. Is there a way to do that? I always see those z4, z3, z2, etc. coders use to host their scripts. |

Yes, if you upload it to your public folder, it will always work for everyone. The link should look something like this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/############/name.filetype Where the ##### are numbers, and the name.filetype is something like "codes.js" or "image.jpg" The s4, s1, etc, are if you upload it directly to your own forum. You can simply create a forum and enable uploads for admins, then upload files there. Edited by Sjaeles, Apr 29 2012, 02:03 AM.

You can host codes on your forum, just attach it to a post (or upload it via the ACP) |
